Frank Tjepkema (born 1970) is a Dutch designer based in Amsterdam. He started his award winning design agency Tjep. in 2001 and works in a broad variety of disciplines including sculpture, architecture, interior design, product design and jewellery.

This Creative Chef Studio project is designed by artist Jasper Udink ten Cate and part of the Studio’s FUTURE FOOD QUEST program. A quest that tries to connect creatives and designers to become part of a journey towards a better food system.

ENVISIONS

MirrorType is an immersive installation of stainless steel (dibond). The work invites the viewer to enter a universe without references and preconceptions. The floor, ceiling and walls create a sense of estrangement with their reflections.

FieldS is the brand of Marjan Veltkamp, a Dutch designer. She creates objects that improve acoustics. The origin is always nature; the result, a unique, handmade object that increases pleasure in work or life. The objects are pieces of art. Modular so you can chance the composition if you like!

K.5.21 is an aluminum stool that goes back to basics. Its shape is inspired by an upright sitting position.  A horizontal seat, a vertical back and an inclined front.  Thanks to an exploration in thickness the stool is a contradiction of a large and solid volume that seems very thin and fragile.

How can we deal with tradition? How do we take advantage of what we have now? Project ‘Foliation Project’ (2022) plays with different time axes that the designer empathize. The images of contemporary advertisement and pattern of ancient celadon are both the trigger to celebrate tradition and explore the loss when faced with the changes in modern society.

Lambert Kamps presents at Certosa the Tube Display. It is kinetic light artwork that uses compressed air to present texts in a dynamic way. In a flow words arise and are wiped out by the following ones. The display consists of a grid from 104 pneumatic moving light-emitting tubes.

Approximately more than 50 million people are affected by dementia worldwide. Clink is an interactive communication tool that offers affected people a new and playful way to interact with each other. It works without any pressure to succeed – but with the chance to provide a feeling of achievement and joy. By attaching the pieces to each other with magnets, fanciful new forms can be created endlessly. It is designed to experience ease, playfulness and encouraging entertainment. While cognitive stimulation is critical for the therapy of people suffering from dementia, Clink helps create precious moments for all parties involved.

Specialist in designing products made from recycled plastics, ECOPIXEL transforms the MONTELLO raw materials into the SOLAR HEAT modules. For SOLAR HEAT a specific mixture was studied in order to absorb as much sunlight as possible while at the same time ensuring sufficient structural qualities and easy to install thanks to its light-weight feature.

Boris Acket (1988) is a contemporary artist, composer & director specialised in multidisciplinary projects within music, installation-art, performance & film. Acket operates as a conductor of creative processes, residing within complex systems in which artist, space & medium connect as one.

Ali Kulunyar was born in Turkey in 2000. He was interested in drawing from a very young age. He started his art journey with drawing and continues today with a harmonious combination of design and illustration. He is currently living in Milan and continuing his degree in Graphic Design and Art Direction at Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti Milano.

Gōngzuò is the pinyin Chinese word meaning “work”. The brand begins with a collection of unisex work jackets, inspired to the worker’s uniforms. Bright colors play the fundamental role in giving a contemporary and metropolitan interpretation to the garment: the jackets are for everyday life. There is a strong link between the brand, architecture and sustainability, all themes dear to the creator Alessandra Negri, Italian Architect.

GŌNGZUÒ

Raphia is a shoe label dedicated to combines ancient crafting techniques with natural materials and modern design. Focusing on one fiber produced out of dried palm leaves from the raphia taedigera which is transformed by the skillful hands of Moroccan craftspeople into highly sustainable shoes. It invites the user to rediscover the contact with this material that has been historically used to make shoes all over the world and that has now mainly disappeared.

RAPHIA

It is a family of chairs with geometric shapes designed to enhance soft surfaces. The design of the structure in thin painted metal tubing emphasizes the fabric upholstery of the padding and soft backrests. The seat and backrests are padded and covered with fabric hemispheres. There is a single seat, sofas for several seats and a high stool, the fabric colors is designed to make the object fresh and fun.

CO.ARCH

The new brand aims to design and produce interior and exterior furni – shing elements for both contract and residential use. Three collections had been presented at the collective exhibition in the Certosa area (Cer – tosa Initiative): Ring, Cream and Marmole.

PEPITA DESIGN

The Boring Collection sprung from a deep dissatisfaction with the appearance of contemporary project furniture. Their looks dictated by strict safety regulations, affordable office furniture is often a detonating eye sore in otherwise well-designed interiors. Sure, we considered designing more aesthetically pleasing furniture. But it would likely become unaffordable, or lead us to other impossible compromises. Instead of shifting the parameters, we accepted them and forged a solution within: to shift attention away from the furniture, onto other, more worthy things like in this project.

Lara Bol is an interdisciplinary designer, who works together with multiple disciplines, communi- ties and as a result wants to research create authentic photo’s.There is a single seat, sofas for several seats and a high stool, the fabric colors is designed to make the object fresh and fun.
